Why the Cairngorms, for an owner
Aviemore sits in the Cairngorms National Park. People come for the hills, the forest and the change of season. A holiday let here is often a house with space and a setting, rather than a city flat used through the week. That can be a rewarding property to own. It is also a property that needs access, housekeeping, guest care and someone who notices when something needs repair.
Many owners do not live on the doorstep. Distance is the practical reason to appoint a manager: keys, cleans, arrivals and the small failures that do not wait for a weekend visit. Amore is an Edinburgh company with a Highland home in the portfolio, so the standard is the same one we use in the city, applied to a different kind of stay.
We have more than 20 years of combined experience as both property managers and property owners. The preference is for homes with character. There is no magic formula, and we would rather talk about a specific house than pretend every property in the strath is one we should take on.

We do not run a separate Highland brand. Owners deal with the Edinburgh team, and guest bookings are published on Amore Stay.

You will deal with a small team. Neil Johnston leads business and finance, Seonaid Johnston leads property services, and Marco Amore leads guest services. Between them they cover the numbers, the building and the stay. When you do let
Full management: presentation advice, marketing, multi-platform listings, bookings, guest communication, housekeeping, hotel-standard linens and maintenance coordination.
How fees are framed
A full management service from 20 to 25 percent plus VAT, depending on the size and location of the property and tailored to it. We do not publish one price for every house. Read the owner FAQ.
